Early Voting!

A good friend of mine called today to let me know she just received her Absentee Ballot. She said the process is easy. She requested it on Thursday and received it by Tuesday. She warned that Kathy Cox is still on the Absentee ballot (note:she has withdrawn from the race).

The site to request an absentee ballot is: sos.georgia.gov/elections/elections/voter_information/absentee_ballot_app.pdf

If you're going to be gone on July 20th, take the time to request your ballot and make your voice heard.

For Governor, it looks like Roy Barnes is widely expected to become the Democratic Nominee.
On the Republican side it is wide open race so every vote will count in the Republican Primary.

Early Voting Began June 7th
Early voting for the 2010 primary election that will be held on July 20 began Monday, June 7, at the DeKalb County Voter Registration and Elections headquarters located at 4380 Memorial Drive, Decatur, GA 30032, near the Memorial Drive exit on I-285.

Voting is available every Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Beginning July 12th, additional advance voting locations will be opened, including one at the Chamblee Civic Center, 3540 Broad Street, Chamblee GA 30341. Brookrun is not listed this year as an early voting location.
