A huge Thank You to all of my supporters!!!
I can't express how much your time, advice and general enthusiasm meant to me over the last two months!! Thanks to all of you who sent out emails, set up Meet and Greets, hosted signs in your yards, passed out my cards, wrote letters to The Crier, talked to your friends and knocked on doors. You are the best people I know and the reason we love living in Dunwoody so much! I feel blessed to have made some amazing friends during this whirlwind process.

And I am so excited by how many of our kids counted "Tammy" signs from their cars, wore my shirts, rode the train and waved signs at the Polls!

Each and everyone of you is the reason I ran and I thank you for your votes.


An extra special Thank You to my wonderful kids; Riley, Austin, Ethan and Gavin and my husband Brian. Your wisdom and support are amazing.

to ask for your vote in the Republican Primary

on July, 20^th.

Why vote for Me? I am the best candidate for the job.

Ex-Prime Minister Tony Blair put it best…

“Ask me my three priorities for Government, and I tell you: education, education and education” –

Like Ex-Prime Minister Blair, I believe our children, all of our children are the single most valuable resource we have. My children’s education is the sole reason we chose to move to Dunwoody. I strongly believe our next State representative has to have a personal stake in the fight for local control of our schools or nothing will change.

I believe my listening skills, strong work ethic and experience dealing with a wide range of clients in the highly male dominated world of advertising was perfect training for the long hours, intense demands and ability to make and maintain strong personal relationships that will be required of our next representative. As an art director it was my job to find, hire and manage the most knowledgeable and talented people, to effectively achieve the best final results for my clients. My numerous awards in advertising are testament to my skill in this area. And my many leadership roles in both the schools and Citizens for Dunwoody have prepared me for understanding the needs and wants of our community.

Other issues that I feel are important to Dunwoody, Huntley Hills, Nancy Creek and Georgia in general:

1) Local control for our schools

2) Continue Freeze on Property Taxes

3) Zero-based budgeting and the Jobs bill

4) Local Governmental control for communities who chose it.

Including “new” counties and supporting Huntley Hills and

Nancy Creek becoming incorporated when they chose it

5) Building a Southern by-pass and Northern arc (some studies predict

20% reduction of traffic on major highways), time the lights, and work

for cost effective and efficient mass transit

6) Diverse energy and create stable water supply

7) Strict accountability and transparency for all Government agencies

including schools

The 6th of July Parade

Monday was great we had such a blast on our Tammy for Dunwoody train! The DHA, The Crier, and especially all of the parade marshalls, Dick Williams, Penny Forman and Pam Tallmadge did a phenomenal job! Thanks to all of my supporters and the amazing people in the crowd.

It was great to get out in front of all of the people I would like to represent and have a chance to talk with many of you. Thanks for all of you who stepped up to host my signs and are offering to do neighborhood Meet And Greets!

I was asked today my position on transportation:

I think the quickest and most effective relief to our congestion in Atlanta at large and our often cut through Dunwoody is building a Southern by-pass extending I16 from Macon westward to I85 directly and a Northern Arc. These two bypasses will take more than 15% of traffic off our highways. These new roads can be funded by a toll.

I would however, vote to end the toll on 400 because a promise was made to the people of Georgia. I want to show that a tax can go away.

I think mass transit is needed in a City of Atlanta's size and density. But Marta needs to be funded by and serve the entire region. Part of the approved 1 cent sales tax should support mass transit. I don't feel that DeKalb should pay an additional 1 cent sales tax for roads without part of this money supporting Marta (DeKalb and Fulton already currently pay a 1 cent sales tax). And as in any government agency more transparency is needed.

I also think it would be wise to bring in a Mass transit expert and make our entire system more efficient and cost effective.
